Our level 1 students are now entering their final few weeks of their first semester with us - the time has flown by! As well as broadening their fashion knowledge through an informative series of Contextual Studies lectures and developing their creative digital skills, they have been studying the Introduction to Fashion Business module. This module has focused on the fundamental principles around fashion marketing & business – from understanding both the macro & micro environments, to brand identity as well as the marketing mix. This week the students looked at 'Promotion', and the vast array of tools which fashion brands have available to them to capture the consumers attention. The students had great fun working in small groups to develop a guerrilla marketing campaign for a brand of their choice. There were some fantastic ideas that came out of their work – it was great to see so much creativity at such an early stage in the programme!
