Level 2 Fashion Management Students had a great trip out visiting key exhibitions in London including OPERA: Power, Passion & Politics at the V&A, and Balanciaga. Opera was a truely brilliant exhibition, as ever at the V&A, and a huge insight into the history, social and cultural context of OPERA. The day was a mix of opulence, glamour and a taste of couture fashion but then a trip over to to East London and the Barbican gave a contrast into the artworld of New York in the 80s at the Basquiat exhibition. One student spotted Stella McCartney and Cara Delevingne passed in the nite! An exciting time and fully booked so we were lucky to see it at the glamourous launch. All this valuable research feeds into the Product Management Module where students are asked to create new opportunities in product, analysing trends in Denim, Wearable Tech and the Sportswear Industries. Back to the office now where we are working hard on Buying and Merchandising skills to support in their ideas development.
