Level 2 FMM students took the opportunity to showcase their work from Semester 1 last week through an exhibition linked to the FMM Programmes’ annual Alumni Event. The exhibition was a collaboration between the Fashion Marketing and the Fashion Management students, whose work ran parallel to each other during the semester. The private view on Thursday 4th February drew a large crowd including local press, see article in Winchester today here http://www.winchestertoday.co.uk/2016/02/winchester-fashion-exhibition-extended/.
The Alumni Event held on Saturday 6th February 2016 presented programme alumni who came to talk about their careers following graduation from the FMM programme. A diverse portfolio of talks from our previous students impressed the crowds, as presenters talked about their careers in Fashion buying, PR, Branding and Marketing - for more information and videos from these talks please click on the Alumni tab from our landing page. The packed event was testament to the buzz and excitement around the programme, the student success stories and the work being produced each year. Josh Sudell and Annabelle Brown from level 2 gave a truly professional presentation on their ‘mega trend’ alongside our alumni presenters. Well done.
Gallery director August Davis commented:
"I have been very impressed with the students and staff of the Fashion Marketing Management course in their creation of this February 2016 showcase of their Topshop / Topman project highlights. Not only is the work itself excellent, but the design and installation of the exhibition is very impressive. The staff and students who installed the show were highly professional and demonstrated great style in their use of the gallery space. Everything was done to a very high standard and as director of The Winchester Gallery I am very pleased to be hosting such a terrific showcase of WSA talent."
