The windows are prepared for the LK Bennett store as part of Winchester Fashion Week showing excellent creative boards from Level 2 Fashion Marketing students. Customers will get a sneek peek at Trend predictions for AW15 with strong colour palettes and trends in digital printing. Students created concepts for new product ranges looking at Macro and Micro Trends for brands such as Prada and TopShop. Annalise and Lizzie did a great job working with the visual team to prepare the full display ready intime!
Heres Lizzies view....
As part of our Fashion Market module in semester 1 of year 2, we essentially became trend forecasters and were asked in groups of 4 to first produce a “macro” trend, meaning the bigger picture, around the issue of sustainability: my group concluded with the concept of non-refined “raw” living. Individually, we then moved on to create a “micro” trend, specific to product, which was to be inspired by the “macro” trend. Being as denim particularly fits in with raw products, I created a range of frayed, ripped and distressed denim products. Despite this module being challenging, I successfully gained a 1st overall, which I was very much surprised by!
In tune with Winchester Fashion Week 2015, I was ecstatic to be asked to participate alongside LK Bennett Winchester in selecting key products from the SS15 LK Bennett range, which both compliment and relate to my “micro” trend, to be showcased in their window display. As an aspiring consumer of LK Bennett (I am a student after all!), I am very grateful for LK Bennett giving me the opportunity to gain a further insight into visual merchandising and allowing me to promote my work through the collaboration
